Goldie

I made tags with Kelly Lynn's beautiful doll Goldie and the Kizzeb By Kelz kit AdoreMe. Check all the goodies out at www.kizzedbykelz.com!

Lubbie Lee

Gather 'round my precious Tigerlilies, have I got a beauty for you!
This is such a lovely kit and tube to celebrate a wedding!
I am using a Selisan Al-Gaib tube called Lubbie Lee. I got it at Tiny Turtle Designs www.tinyturtledesigns.com and you will need a licence to use the tube.
The kit is Lubbie Lee from LilMzsBrainstorms and it is jam packed with everything you need for your wedding tags! You can get the kit at www.scrapsncompany.com.

I used RD Mask set 122 Mask 4, but feel free to use the mask of your choice.

I used the font Stardust Adventure, which I found at www.urbanfonts.com but again, feel free to use a font you love.

Nothing is hard and fast about this tut.

I wrote this tut on July 31, 2017. Any resemblance to existing tuts is a coincidence.
I used Jasc PSP9.

Open Paper 13 and duplicate it. Close the original. Resize to 75% which will make your canvas 600 X 600. I like to leave my area big so I can see what I'm doing. If you are bound by size requirements, you can resize at the end.
Make a New Raster Layer and floodfill it with white.
Apply your mask.
Before you Merge, click on Raster 1 and apply your effects. I used Xero's Fritillary. I just clicked Random until I found a pattern I liked. If you like a certain preset, go ahead and use that one.
I then applied Lacquer. Lacquer is a more obscure filter, so not everyone has it. Inner Bevel is a filter that does a lot of the same things that Lacquer does. Again, use the settings you like.

Element 95 - Resize 75%
Adjust - Add Noise 66
Drop Shadow

You may be using a different tube than I did and that is totally OK. From now on, arrange your layers to suit your tube. Or, if you have a different vision and want to use other elements in the kit, go ahead and make it your own.

Element 3 - resize to 15%
Adjust - Add Noise - 66
Add your drop shadow

Element 20 - resize 30%
31 - resize 50%
Add noise
11 - resize 50%
42 and 43 - resize 40%
If you want to add some "bubbles" to your Champagne, use your magic wand and select the liquid in the glass. Add Noise. Than Select None and add your drop shadow.
91 leave as is but you may wish to add Lacquer or an Inner Bevel to make it stand out.
34 - resize to 40%
27 - resize to 10%
81 - Lacquer
Add Noise
80 Resize to 22%
32 Resize to 25%
105 resize 25%
104 resize 25%
Add Noise
100 - resize 30%

Add your credits and make your arrangements how you like them. Then Merge All.

For the text, I used Stardust Adventure.
I typed in my name and then applied Flaming Pear's Primus filter. They keep bugging me to upgrade to SuperBladePro, but I am too cheap to buy it. You can achieve the same effect with Inner Bevel or with Eye Candy Chrome and then Glass.
Then add noise and Use Adjust - Sharpen More.

I hope you had fun!

Fruity Sweet

Gather 'round, my precious Tigerlilies, I have a super dee duper cool tut for you! I am so excited about this one! You are going to love it!

I wrote this on July 26, 2017. Any resemblance to existing tuts is coincidental.

I used Jasc PSP9.
Materials such as fonts are entirely optional and you can swap out if you have something you like better.
Feel free to substitute kit elements too. This kit is so exciting and it is just totally packed with all the best goodies!
I am using a couple of weird filters, so if you don't have them, go ahead and substitute.

Here's what I used:
Verymany Tube (You will need a license to use her work) Watermelon 2
RD Mask set 128 Mask 3
Alien Skin Snap Art Comics filter
Eye Candy 4000 Glass filter
Flaming Pear Lacquer filter
Ruge Boogie Font from Urban Fonts
The amazing kit from LilMzsBrainstorms Fruity Sweet

Open a canvas 600 X 600. I like to make mine really big so I can see what I'm doing. If your forum requires a different size, you can always scale accordingly.

Floodfill with paper 4 and add a white raster layer.
Go to your paper layer and apply the Comics filter. I used Assorted, Industrial.

Apply your mask and merge all.

Open Element 101 and resize it to 50%.
Apply the Flaming Pear Lacquer filter. You may need to mess with it a little bit until you get the effect you like. I use this filter a lot because there are so many things you can do with it.

Get your tube set up and resized and Paste as a New Layer.

On all my layers I was using a dropshadow of 3 horizontal and 1 vertical. Feel free to use the settings you like.

You may have to play with your layers to get them how you like. That is cool.

Element 14 - resize to 50% and apply Eye Candy 4000 Glass filter.

Element 52 - resize 50%

Element 61 - resize 45% and use Glass.

Element 59 - resize 45% and use Lacquer.

Element 53 - resize to 45%

Element 17 - resize 45%

Element 31 - resize 35%

Element 54 - resize 30%

Element 3 - 50%

Merge all and Sharpen. Add your credits. I like to use Verdana for my credits because it is an easy to read font.

For the name, I used a font called Ruge Boogie. I did a pink layer and a green layer to look a bit watermelony. I selected colors from my tube so it would match. Then I applied the Lacquer filter.

You may have to play around with things a bit to work out what goes where.

This was a total blast to write, and I hope you have fun working with it!

American Patriotic

Gather 'round my precious Tigerlilies! It's time for another tut!
Today I am using the amazing Lysisange's tube American Patriotic. You can get this tube at Scraps&Company and you need a license for it.

I am also using a kit called American Patriotic from LilMz'sBrainstorms. This kit is jam packed with fun elements and cute papers. You will love this great kit!

If you have a patriotic mask, you might want to use it.

I also used a font called Spangled which I got for free at urbanfonts.

This tut does used some extra PTU filters. If you do not have the filters, feel free to substitute with ones you have. If you want to use elements that I am not using, feel free too. Take the kit and make it your own. There are tons of great things to play with!

I made the tut in PSP9 and any resemblance to other tuts out there is coincidental.

Set up your mask layers. I used a red, white and blue gradient. I wanted to make my background as bright and busy as I could, so the gradient die that for me.
Apply the mask.
Before I merged my layers I went down to the bottom one and applied Xero's filter Fritillary.
You may need to play with the settings until it gets how you like it.
Merge layers.

Paste your tube as a new layer and add your drop shadow.

Using Element 1, add noise and paste as a new layer and add drop shadow.
Then duplicate the layer, mirror it and flip it and arrange it so you have stars all over.

Element 6 copy/paste as new layer and drop shadow.

Element 13 - add noise, paste as new layer and erase any stems that may be showing.

Element 15 - paste a new layer and apply Flaming Pear Lacquer.

Element 23 - add noise, paste as new layer.

Element 81 - resize to 30% and paste as new layer.

Element 14 - resize to 30% and paste as new layer.

Element 100 - resize to 20% and paste as new layer. Duplicate the layer and mirror.

Element 98 - resize depending on your tube's position. Apply Flaming Pear's Lacquer. Sharpen

Add your credits.

Now the lettering may get a bit fussy, but you can play with it and find what works easiest for you. I used red and blue for the filling in part. I filled in all the letters.

I applied Eye Candy 5 Glass and made my glass clear.

Then I went to Eye Candy 4 and applied Gradient Glow using white. Then I chose Select None for the text.
I re-did Gradient Glow except I changed the color to red.
Then I did it again with blue.

You can use all kinds of different effects and colors. Play around. Have fun!

Flower Beach

Gather 'round my precious Tigerlilies, I have a new tut for you!
I am using a tube by Alex Prihodko, which you can find at PicsForDesign. You will need a license to use this tube.

The kit is so exciting! It is Flower Beach by LilMzsBrainstorms! You are going to have so much fun with this kit!
You can use a mask of your choice.
The font is Beyond the Mountains and I found it at urbanfonts.com

I created this tut June 24, 2017. Any resemblance to existing tuts is coincidental.

OK, let's begin.

Now, keep in mind that this is what I did. Feel free to add or subtract and do other things to make the tut your own. If you want to use a different tube, go ahead. Enjoy yourself and do what makes you happy!

Open paper 1 and resize to 75%
Add a raster layer and flood fill with white.
Apply mask.

Resize the tube (mine was 40% but if you use a different tube, you may have a different resize) and paste as new layer.

The elements you use and the sizes and mirroring will depend on your tube and preferences. I chose mermaid-y elements, but if your tube is different, you may opt for some of the other elements that are jam-packed in this great kit!

Element 68 resize 55% mirror drop shadow copy/paste as new layer.
Element 3 resize 12%
Element 2 resize 17%

Element 35
Mirror and resize to 40%
Now, we are going to do a different thing with the drop shadow. Choose a color other than black or white. I chose aqua. Check the box that says put shadow on a separate layer.
Then merge the layers together and do another drop shadow but un-check the separate layer box and choose a light color. I chose white. It makes the clouds look a bit fluffier without darkening the sun.

Element 29 resize 15%
Elements 43 and 44 resize to 15%
Element 45 resize to 45 and mirror
Element 99 resize to 15%
Element 94 leave as is but you may need to use the eraser tool and erase a bit of the rope.
Element 75 resize to 23%
Element 74 resize to 15%
Element 73 resize to 11%
Element 6 resize to 17%

Element 7 - duplicate
Use the crop tool and crop one side of one  and crop the opposite of the duplicate. Resize each side to 12%

Element 86 resize to 17%
Element 9 mirror resize to 17%
Element 60 resize to 17%

You will want to play around with all these layers and place them where you think they look cool. When you have everything where you like it, merge and flatten, adjust sharpen, and add your credits.

If you want it un-animated, you are finished and can add your name.

Here is what I did for the animation:

Use your freehand selection tool to put marching ants around what you wish to make sparkle. When you are finished make two copies. You can go to Window and select Duplicate twice.

On your first frame, choose Adjust, add noise and set up your noise how you like. Because my tube is so busy, I began with a lower number. I started at 50. I also chose Gausian and monchrome. When the noise was added I chose Select None. Then I went back to Adjust and chose Sharpen.
I chose Copy and then took it over to Animation Shop and chose Paste as New Animation.

For the second one, I put the noise at 55 and followed the same procedure. When I got to Animation Shop, I chose Paste After Current Frame.

For the third one, I put the noise at 60 and followed the same procedure.
Now, bear in mind that whatever you did in Frame 1 such as sharpening it, you have to do to all the frames or it will look off.
Now view your animation. Mine looked like it was going too fast. I Chose Select All and then went to Frame Properties. In the little box there was the number 10. I changed that 10 to a 15. It slowed my image down enough. Be careful when you are adjusting time. A little adjusting goes a long way.

Now for your lettering, back in Paint Shop Pro, set up your font. I used Beyond the Mountains.
I chose a color from my tube.
I used Flaming Pear's Lacquer on the normal setting, but I repeated it so the filter was applied twice.
I used Eye Candy 5's Gradient Glow on the Baby Rainbow setting. I put the width down to 9.
Then I added a drop shadow.

Copy, carry over to Animation Shop and Paste As New Animation. Duplicate twice.
Select all/copy
Then click on your image you are pasting your text into. Select all and then choose Paste Into Selection. You can move it around and set it where you like it.

Then View Animation and save.

I hope you had a good time doing this!

Pink Goth

Gather 'round my precious Tigerlilies! Here is the first tut I ever wrote! I hope you have fun with it!

You are witnessing History Made! I have never done this, so I am open to all constructive criticism, and if it sucks I will try something else.

Pink Goth Tutorial
May 22, 2017
Guinevere Healy
Any resemblance to previous tuts is purely coincidental.

This is an easy tut.
I used Jasc PSP9. It has not been tested in newer versions.

I used the Pink Goth kit by LMB, which you can find at www.lilmzsbrainstorms.com
I am using a tube from Lady Mishka called Lola2 which you can also be found at the URL above.
These are both PTU items and you will need a license for the tube.
Font Used: BloodBlock at dafont.com

Open a new image 600 X 600
Using paper 2 from the kit, crop to taste depending on how much of the paper's pattern you want and then copy/paste into your new window.

Open the tube, adjust to how you want it (I used mirror) and Paste As New Layer.
Resize tube to 50% and Paste as New Layer.
If you have Eye Candy filters, you can use Corona with the glow width at 9.33 and the color set to white.
If you do not have Corona, you can use the Drop Shadow effect already in PSP. In 9 it is under 3-D effects. Use your favorite drop shadow settings, but change the color to white. If you want to you can also feather it a bit to make it look "spooky."
I went with the Corona option to make this tag, but Drop Shadow is also great.

Take Element 19 and resize to 20%. Apply Corona or Drop Shadow with the same settings as you did your tube. Paste as New Layer. Whenever I resize anything, I go to Adjust and select Sharpen. It gives the item a bit more clarity. I just use the factory defaults from Paint Shop Pro.

Element 29 - resize to 60%
Adjust - sharpen
Add Noise 17 Gausian Monochrome
Corona (all settings are the same throughout until you get to the lettering.
Paste as new layer

Element 53 - 55
Sizing will depend on the tube you use. I did 35% to 40% This is one you will want to play around with.
With Element 53, Doing Adjust - Add noise at 53 Gausian, it gives it a little glow.
Corona
Paste as New Layer

Element 18 - Use your Magic Wand tool to select a certain area and then add noise using 53
Corona
Paste as New Layer

Use your Magic Wand for a chosen selection of Element 27 that you resized to your liking. Adjust - Add Noise 53

Apply your credits. I like to use Verdana because it is a font that is easy to read. I also do a drop shadow so the text pops a bit.

Font Effect
Select a color from the tube to be the print color.
Apply your font tool.
Because I want to do a separate layer, I chose Selections, Expand by 3, and then went to Add New Raster Layer. I then filled in with black.
I chose Select None
I chose Corona again, but I adjusted it to 19 and then merged my layers

Have fun!

Jessy

Gather 'round my most precious Tigerlilies! What's up?
I have never had a blog before, so please bear with me. This is my first ever post. I began doing tuts for LMB and I am having so much fun with it, I thought I would try a blog.

This is one of the first tuts I ever did. I hope you have fun with it.

And yeah, since I am new at this, please let me know what I might need to do in order to make stuff more fun.

Hello, my precious Tigerlilies! I have a tut for you! This one uses the Adorable LilMzsBrainstorms kit Jessy, and the awesome tube Jessy from Lysisange.
I assume you have a working knowledge of Paint Shop Pro and Animation Shop.
I used Jasc PSP9 and AS3.
You can get both the tube and the kit at www.Scrapsncompany.com. You will need a license to use the tube.
Any resemblance to any tuts written for this are purely coincidental and unintentional.
Let's begin.
Open Paper 1 from the kit. Duplicate. Resize to 80%. You should have a canvas that is 600 X 600.
Create a new raster layer and flood fill with white.
Apply a mask of your choice.
If you have Alien Skin's Snap Art, you can apply a watercolor effect. I used Assorted Full Coverage and applied it to the bottom layer (the paper). If you do not have the Snap Art package, you can substitute with a similar filter or you can go to Adjust/Blur and fuzz it up a little bit.
Do not merge yet. Open Element 19 and paste it as a new layer in between the background layer and the top layer. Below the mask.
Add a drop shadow and then Merge All.
Open the tube. I used Jessy 5, but the super fantastic thing about this kit is all layers will totally match! Resize and adjust to fit how you want her to look. I placed her off to the side so I could get more elements from the kit into the tag.
Element 51
Resize 70
Adjust/sharpen
Paste as New Layer
Drop Shadow
Element 1
Resize 70
free rotate left 27
Paste as new layer
Drop shadow
Now, you may wish to play around with different elements and arrangements of the layers. That is so cool! Have fun!
Element 29
resize 55
mirror
drop shadow
Element 73
resize 25%
Drop Shadow
Element 114
Paste as New Layer
Drop Shadow
Element 12
Resize to 75%
Paste as new layer
Free rotate left 25
Drop shadow
Element 18
Use the Watercolor effect if you have it.
Then add Flaming Pear's Lacquer if you have that one. If you do not have that, the Inner Bevel filter that came with your PSP will work well.
Element 17
Resize 12%
Paste as New Layer
Add drop shadow
Add your credits.
If you wish to add a bit of animation to the tag, you can make a bit of sparkle. If you do not wish to, you can add your name if you wish.
I used the font Sugarcakes www.urbanfonts.com
If you wish to animate your tag, choose your Freehand Selection tool and draw around what you want to sparkle. When you have selected what you want to glitter, go up to the tab marked Window and select Duplicate. Make 2 duplicates. You should have 3 frames total.
Fir the first one, Select Adjust/add noise.
I used monochrome Gausian and my first frame was 53.
Then I chose select none under the selections tab and I went to adjust and chose sharpen. That gives your tag some extra polish. Make sure you sharpen all layers. Whatever you do to one layer, you must do to all the layers or it would not look smooth.
Go to the Edit tab and select copy.
Then go to Animation Shop and do Paste and then choose Paste as New Animation.
Go back to Paint Shop Pro for your second frame.
Repeat the procedure for adding noise. Keep in mind that you don't want to go too much more than 5 beyond or the glitter will look odd when you animate it. I usually go in increments of 5. So since my first frame was 53, my second frame will be 58.
Copy and go to Animation Shop and Paste After Current Frame.
Follow the same instructions for the third frame and increase noise to 63.
Now over at Animation Shop you have three frames. Go to View and select View Animation.
If you are satisfied with the tag, Save the tag as an MNG file. The reason for saving it this way is you have a blank tag. It will not continually re-optimize so you won't get gremlins.
When you are ready for the names, do your thing in PSP and then carry it over to AS. Duplicate to match the number of frames, so in this case, you want 3 frames.
Copy/paste is a bit more tricky. Click in frame 1 of your name. Select all. Then copy. Go to your tag. Select All. Then Paste Into Selected Frame. Do not let go of your mouse. You can adjust your position and then click to set it.
Then save, but change the file type to GIF.
I hope you like it! Have Fun!
